Do not use Microsoft Internet Explorer when downloading EPS files. The file will be renamed with wrong file type. You can change back to .eps locally, but it is much safer to use Safari or Firefox.

Guidelines
The logotype should be left aligned, top or bottom. Use solid white or black background only.
Margins x and y (empty space surrounding the logo) must at least equal X-height (height of a letter) in the logotype text.
How to use logotype for print
Save EPS file to disk.
Insert Image into document, resize and print.
