Together with our local partner, Civil Rights Defenders pursues cases of unlawful detention, torture, disappearances and unlawful executions in northern Caucasia. So far, Russia has been convicted more than 100 times in the European Court of Human Rights. We also work to strengthen the LGBT movement and fight discrimination, for example, by arranging a “Week Against Homophobia”.
