2009-05-27: Right wing extremists in Swedish politics

Daniel Poohl, editor in chief at the magazine Expo, talks about the growth of right wing extremist party Sverigedemokraterna. During the last couple of years the right wing groups have worked on transforming on the surface, adapting their message in order to become more accepted among the general public. Step by step they have become more influential. Sverigedemokraterna have seats in more than half of the local governments in Sweden and their goal is to gain seats in the national parliament in 2010.

What is their strategy? And how can we prevent them from becoming as strong in Sweden as right wing extremist groups are in some other European countries?
