2009-11-04: Future challenges for Swedish development aid
The need for urgent aid in connection with natural disasters or armed conflicts will most probably increase in times of climate change and financial crises. At the same, the Swedish government has expressed a wish to prioritize long-term support for democratization and human rights. How will these two needs be combined and what are the main challenges for the Swedish development aid in the future?
