Rebiya KadeerRebiya Kadeer, Uighur human rights defender, visits Civil Rights Defenders on Thursday December 3rd. We will show the documentary “Ten Conditions of Love” and talk about the Uighur’s struggle for human rights in China. See a film clip here.

Ten Conditions of Love caused strong protests when it was going to be showed on the Melbourne film festival earlier this year. The Chinese government hold Rebiya Kadeer responsible for the violence between Uighurs and Han Chinese in East Turkestan (Xinjiang region in China) in July 2009, riots that left about 200 people dead.
