Educating media and duty-holders in LGBT rights
Together with Labris we struggle to decrease the level of homophobia and ignorance about the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons. Our main activities are lobbying, advocacy, education and networking, but we are also providing legal counseling for LGBT people.
Within our education programme we take action for changed attitudes within governmental institutions and the civil society, by organising trainings in human rights, in regard to the LGBT community, for staff in health and social care institutions, lawyers in different organisations and duty holders.
Labris was founded in 1995. During previous years, Labris developed and organised a successful model of training on the rights of LGBT persons. Labris participates in the work of the Coalition Against Discrimination.News.
