Human Dignity in Mental Health Facilities

The mental health facilities in Kosovo are an area of great concern. They suffer from lack of funding, inadequate infrastructure, lack of medicine and unprofessional staff. Moreover, patients in mental health facilities are victims of the lack of a human rights culture in Kosovo, especially in relation to persons deprived of their liberty.

We aim to promote human dignity and make an end to violence and discrimination in mental health facilities. We do this by monitoring the institutions and lobbying for legislative changes in collaboration with Kosovo Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims.
