Tomorrow Award to Natalia Project
The Natalia Project was launched on 4 April 2013, and has since then received several prestigious awards. In June, the alarmsystem was rewarded with a silver Lion at Cannes Lions and on 19 September, the Natalia Project received the Tomorrow Award.
The Tomorrow Awards is an international award show dedicated to discovering, showcasing, and awarding creativity that ‘pushes the boundaries of technological innovation’. The Natalia project was selected out of a total of 55 contributions from all over the world. According to Sophie Bendz, Tomorrow Award’s Monster Judge and Global Director of Marketing for Spotify, the technology of Natalia Project “is solving a problem that is very real today and is a beautiful combination of technology used in order to help people help other people.”
Civil Rights Defenders are proud to receive the award together with the Swedish PR-firm RBK who has designed the alarm system. Executive Director of Civil Rights Defenders, Robert Hårdh, sees the award as further evidence of the alarm system’s greatness.
“Natalia Project is an awareness raising campaign with a lifesaving content. What makes it so successful is the simplicity of it. It is a concrete help for human rights defenders at risk and by involving people in a joint effort it makes the world a safer place,” says Robert Hårdh, Executive Director of Civil Rights Defenders.Achievements.
