On 10 October Civil Rights Defenders Executive Director Robert Hårdh will participate on two expert panels on Swedish Television (SVT 1) discussing the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Peace Prize Committee announced Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi as winners of the price.

There are many ongoing conflicts in the world – and most of all we want to see someone who has helped to improve the situation. As a human rights organisation, we would off course be very happy if one of our local partners were the recipient of the Award. But I also note the fact that since the Award was initiated it has been given to 101 persons of which only 15 have been women – a fact that is outrageous, to put it mildly. So I really hope that the prize this year goes to a woman”, says Robert Hårdh, Civil Rights Defenders Executive Director.

Watch the first interview via the link (swedish) and tune in to see Robert’s second interview live at SVT1, 10.55.
