Civil Society Wants a Truth Commission in the Western Balkans
The civil society in the Western Balkans has initiated a process to establish a Regional Commission for Truth-seeking and Truth-telling About War Crimes. A very large number of NGOs in all the countries involved support and promote the initiative. The focus ahead will be to get the duty holders committed to the process. Will that be possible and, if not, what will happen to the initiative?
Natasa Kandic from Humanitarian Law Center in Belgrade, Serbia, will describe the initiative and how the process itself, step by step, contributes to reconciliation between the ethnic groups in the region.
Date: Wednesday November 18
