Internship – Latin America Department

We welcome one intern to the Department for Latin America. The intern will work under the guidance of the Programme Director for the region. The Programme Director for Latin America plans, coordinates and implements Civil Rights Defenders’ work in the region, which also includes advocacy and lobbying in Sweden.

The internship consists of:

Assisting the Programme Director in the daily work. The tasks are varied and include writing articles, manage administrative work, to follow the political development in the region as well as planning and conducting activities in Sweden and abroad.

Knowledge requirements:

The intern should have a genuine interest in human rights and a basic knowledge about the issues that Civil Rights Defenders works with. The intern should be able to express him- or herself in English and Spanish. A background in law, political science or similar is desirable, as well as knowledge or particular interest in Latin America.

Please note that this internship is not paid. Civil Rights Defenders reimburse only local public transport costs (SL card purchase).

The internship takes place during spring 2017 at the Stockholm Office
