Seminar: Shrinking Space for Human Rights Defenders in Asia
The Right Livelihood Award Foundation, Civil Right Defenders, The Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI), Church of Sweden, Kvinna till Kvinna, Amnesty Sweden and CineMondo invite you to a discussion with two of the 2014 Right Livelihood Award Laureates.
Asma Jahangir, who will receive the Right Livelihood Award “for defending, protecting and promoting human rights in Pakistan and more widely, often in very difficult and complex situations and at great personal risk.”
Basil Fernando / Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) who will be awarded the Right Livelihood Award “. for his tireless and outstanding work to support and document the implementation of human rights in Asia.”
The seminar will be followed by a Swedish premiere screening of the documentary “Unjust” by Josefina Bergsten.
